We are on our way

I love Michigan rest stops. Clean, commercial free, and set up beautifully. At this rest stop I even found a little shade tree to enjoy an egg-salad lunch at my dining table. Traveling in Michigan is always better than other states. We have free-ways (having just spent over a hundred dollars on Ohio and Pennsylvania tollways) and beautiful trees and of course our magnificent Great Lakes.

Henry and I got off at 9:30 a.m. Quite the evening and morning packing for nearly a month on the road. I not only have clothes and food with me, but my office and photo studio. Hmmm. A little snug, but Henry and I are as happy as clams right now. Hope to be by the Big Lake later today!

  1. Sorry for the long delay. Yes it is a steep learning curve. I advise you need to love to write (so you got that down) and love computers. I strongly encourage it though! I use WordPress.com–I suggest starting there–but will be moving to WordPress.org this fall. You can also try Blogger by Google (I’m not a fan) and I’ve heard that Square Space is easy and good (http://squarespace.com) but don’t have any personal experience. WordPress is having free training right now for blogging and one for writing I think. Here’s an article from 2012 on Lifehacker: http://lifehacker.com/5878847/which-blogging-platform-should-i-use Good luck and keep me posted.

  2. Hey! I realize this is somewhat off-topic however I had to ask.
Does operating a well-established blog like yours require a lot of work?
I’m brand new to running a blog but I do write in my journal everyday.
I’d like to start a blog so I will be able to share
my experience and thoughts online. Please let me know if you
have any kind of ideas or tips for new aspiring bloggers.
    Thankyou!
